1920年代から30年代にかけて活躍した作曲家ジョージ・ガーシュインの楽曲を様々なアーティストがカバーしたオムニバスアルバム。ガーシュインと親交の深かったハーモニカ奏者ラリー・アドラーの生誕80年をきっかけに企画されたアルバムで、ジョージ・マーティンが全編をプロデュース。
ジョン・ボン・ジョヴィがカバーした曲には、リッチー・サンボラも参加。
